Itty-Bitty Homes

I
ttyBittyHomes was developed out of a need for smaller creative, efficient homes. Our economy is changing our approach to designing and building homes. The cost of constructing a home has risen dramatically over the past 20 years. Energy costs are climbing each year as energy demand increases. Construction options seem somewhat limited with most homes being built conventionally or modularly. We wanted to design a product that provided several different construction options depending on budget, energy efficiency and environmental impact. Each home in this collection offers 3 construction methods and a wide range of space options.

Option 1 is conventional construction. It is our experience that some building projects are an evolution of sorts with clients making field decisions that affect the plan and its components. Conventional construction offers a higher level of flexibility and is designed for those who want a little more wiggle room in the construction phase.

Option 2 is modular construction. The homebuilding industry has seen a shift towards modular construction in the last decade. A modular built home offers many advantages and, in most cases, significant cost savings. Modular homes also save time and we all know that time is money.

Option 3 is SIPs panel construction. SIPs (structural insulated panel system) construction offers a high level of energy efficiency and a low impact on the environment. SIPs are one of the most airtight and well-insulated building systems available, making them an inherently green product. An airtight SIP building will use less energy to heat and cool, allows for better control over indoor environmental conditions, and reduces construction waste.
